San Jose del Monte in Bulacan passes anti-discrimination ordinance

In a post on its Facebook page on October 8, 2021, the Office of the Secretary of the Sanggunian Panglungsod of San Jose del Monte in Bulacan announced the passage of the city council resolution and ordinance that prohibit unlawful acts and discriminatory conduct against persons based on sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, descent, national or ethnic origin, health status, age, disability, religious affiliation or beliefs.
Authored by first district councilor Richard Maurice M. Robes, Resolution No. 2021-1246-10 and City Ordinance No. 2021-086-10 were passed during 115th regular session of the seventh council of the City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM) on October 4, 2021 via Zoom.
TLF Share on its own Facebook page welcomed the local legislation, and commended the people and groups in CSJDM for their "efforts and hard work [that] will contribute to achieving a society that values equality and non-discrimination." TLF Share specifically acknowledged its partner community-based organization in CSJDM, Independent and Diverse Gay Organization (INDIGO).
Through TLF Share's HR&HIV Caravan, the organization also committed to support the city in the development of the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the ordinance.
