PNAC issues statement on Larry Gadon
The Philippine National AIDS Council, an attached agency of the Department of Health reconstituted by Republic Act No. 11166 to ensure the implementation of the country's response to HIV and AIDS, released its formal statement last September 8, 2021 with regard to a radio broadcast where lawyer Lorenzo "Larry" Gadon claimed that President Benigno S. Aquino III had HIV infection and died of AIDS-related complications.

Gadon's statement was aired on his DWIZ program "Karambola" on June 24, the very day that the President died and his passing was publicly confirmed. Gadon is also known as the complainant that led to the impeachment of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Maria Lourdes Sereno.
