Anti-discrimination advocacy in Catbalogan
TLF Share with support from Tides Foundation went on a mission to Catbalogan City in Samar, to engage stakeholders and duty bearers of the City to deepen their understanding of SOGIE, the proposed national legislation on SOGIE equality, and the crafting of the City's own anti-discrimination ordinance.
TLF Share's partner, San Julian Pride, also went to narrate their experience in the passage of the anti-discrimination ordinance of San Julian in Eastern Samar. Theirs was the first such municipal ordinance passed in the country.
Catbalogan City's Mayor Dexter Uy, and Councilor and Chair of the Women and Family Committee Steph Uy-Tan also made their appearances in solidarity with the stakeholders and duty bearers.
